Learning from Lake Sturgeon Youth Advisory Group members take turns holding their national award — The Canadian Youth for Wildlife Conservation Award.
We’re so grateful to the Canadian Wildlife Federation for hosting the True North Wildlife Conservation Awards Gala in Ottawa on October 23, 2026. They have selected the Learning from Lake Sturgeon Youth Advisory Group for the national Canadian Youth for Wildlife Conservation Award!
Four Youth Advisory Group members joined WCS Canada and Moose Cree First Nation in Ottawa to celebrate their amazing achievement and recognize other deserving conservation award winners. The youth enjoyed a fun and well-deserved evening full of inspiration and celebration at the spectacular Canadian Museum of Nature!
Wish you could have been there? Check out photos and a full video of the award ceremony below, and join us in congratulating this hardworking group for their contributions to conservation, stewardship, and youth programming in the Moose Cree Homeland!
